HOUSEWARES

Houseware exports have become one of the most dynamic product categories in Asia’s trade landscape, with cookware, kitchenware, dinnerware, tableware, storage baskets, and sanitary ware reaching major global markets. In 2024, exports of houseware products from Vietnam recorded a value exceeding USD 7.2 billion, reflecting a steady growth rate of nearly 9% compared to the previous year. The sector is supported by a strong base of over 3,000 manufacturers, employing more than 500,000 workers, ensuring both scale and flexibility for international sourcing.

Key destinations include the United States, accounting for more than 35% of export turnover, followed by the European Union and Japan. Trade agreements such as the EVFTA, CPTPP, and RCEP have provided tariff advantages, helping products like stainless steel cookware, ceramic dinnerware, and eco-friendly rattan baskets gain wider access to B2B buyers. Industry statistics also show that demand for eco-sustainable houseware, including bamboo and recycled plastic storage solutions, has grown by over 12% year-on-year, signaling a shift in purchasing behavior.
