INDOOR/OUTDOOR FURNITURE

The global furniture industry continues to view Southeast Asia as a reliable sourcing hub, with one country ranking among the top five exporters worldwide in 2023. Exports of indoor and outdoor furniture reached nearly USD 17 billion, accounting for more than 16% of total national exports in the wood and wooden products sector.

Wooden furniture, including dining sets, sofas, cabinets, and garden furnishings, represented the majority share, with over 85% shipped to key markets such as the United States, the European Union, Japan, and South Korea.

In the U.S. market alone, wooden furniture imports from this source surpassed USD 8 billion, capturing approximately one-third of total U.S. wooden furniture imports. The sector benefits from more than 4,500 enterprises and a skilled workforce exceeding half a million employees, ensuring large-scale production capacity as well as flexibility for customized designs. Trade agreements like the EVFTA and CPTPP further support competitive tariff advantages, making indoor and outdoor furniture from this region highly attractive for global B2B buyers seeking both cost efficiency and consistent quality.
