FASHION ACCESSORIES

The fashion accessories sector has become a key part of global sourcing, with Vietnam emerging as one of the leading suppliers to international markets. In 2023, the country’s exports of fashion-related items, including handbags, belts, hats, scarves, and jewelry, reached a value of more than USD 6.2 billion, marking steady growth of nearly 12% compared to the previous year.

This momentum is supported by over 5,000 enterprises engaged in the textile, leather, and accessory supply chain, employing more than 1.5 million workers across manufacturing hubs in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other provinces.

Key export destinations include the United States, which accounts for nearly 40% of shipments, followed by Japan, South Korea, and the European Union. Industry reports highlight that leather goods alone contributed over USD 4.5 billion to total exports in 2023, while headwear and scarves accounted for more than USD 950 million. Strategic trade agreements such as the CPTPP and EVFTA provide reduced tariffs and easier market access, reinforcing Vietnam’s role in the global value chain.
