In 2023, exports of plastic sacks and bags were valued at nearly USD 190 million, while the wider luggage and handbag sector exceeded USD 3 billion, showcasing the industry’s substantial scale.

From June 2024 to May 2025, Vietnam shipped more than 1,036,000 consignments of bags and luggage to international markets, marking an impressive 12% growth compared to the previous year. This strong upward trend underscores the country’s ability to meet large orders while maintaining quality standards.

Key markets include the United States, South Korea, Japan, and major European economies, with demand driven by both consumer and retail sectors. Supported by favorable free trade agreements, a skilled workforce, and rising design capabilities, Vietnam’s manufacturers can deliver customized solutions across travel luggage, handbags, backpacks, and industrial bags.
