APPAREL & GARMENT
The apparel and garment industry is a cornerstone of Vietnam’s export economy, consistently ranking among the country’s top-performing sectors. In 2024, textile and garment exports were valued at approximately USD 44 billion, reflecting an 11% increase compared to the previous year.
This strong growth underlines Vietnam’s competitiveness in global apparel manufacturing, driven by a skilled workforce of over 2 million employees and more than 19,000 enterprises dedicated to export production. Such capacity enables manufacturers to handle high-volume orders while also meeting the needs of clients requiring flexibility and customization.
The United States remains Vietnam’s largest apparel market, accounting for nearly 43% of total exports, followed by Japan, South Korea, China, and the European Union. Strategic trade agreements, including the CPTPP, EVFTA, and RCEP, provide favorable tariff conditions and open broader market access, reinforcing Vietnam’s position as a reliable sourcing base for international buyers.
