Agricultural exports play a crucial role in the global supply chain, with steady growth driven by diverse product categories such as rice, coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, fruits, and seafood. In 2023, agricultural, forestry, and fishery exports were valued at approximately USD 53.01 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 9.3%. Rice shipments alone reached 8.13 million tons, generating USD 4.68 billion, while coffee exports totaled 1.61 million tons, bringing in USD 4.18 billion.
Cashew nut exports delivered over 644,000 tons valued at USD 3.64 billion, confirming the country’s leading role in the global nut trade. Pepper exports reached 267,000 tons worth USD 912 million, maintaining a strong presence in the seasoning sector. Meanwhile, fruit and vegetable exports grew significantly, surpassing USD 5.6 billion, supported by higher demand in Asian and European markets.
With competitive pricing, compliance with international quality standards, and expanded trade agreements, the agricultural sector continues to strengthen its position in supplying high-volume, reliable goods to international buyers seeking long-term sourcing partnerships.
